700 people participated in the flower holi festival & we used 120 Lb Rose flower petals for this holi

there was free lunch prasadam arranged for 700 people & we distributed 30 gallons of Thandai prasadam in the temple

This festival we celebrate to mark the Victory of Prahlada over demon Holika & also mark the day when Lord Shiva burnt Kamadeva , so this day of Holi reminds us that we need to burn or neglect lusty things from our eyes 

Also This Holi marks the new year calendar for Gaudiya Vaishnava Devotees & also this day marks the Birth & Appearance of Lrod Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu who appeared 500 years before in Navadvipa Mayapur in West Bengal to spread the chanting of Mahamantra Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare.
