Muslim Cleric Maulana Kalbe Sadiq Dies In Lucknow At 83


Lucknow:  Prominent Shia cleric and All India Muslim Personal Law Board vice president Maulana Kalbe Sadiq died in Lucknow on Tuesday. He was 83.

By Maham Abbasi , Copy edited By Adam Rizvi, TIO New Jersey : Maulana Sadiq, 83, died around 10 pm at a private hospital in Lucknow, his son Kalbe Sibtain said. He was admitted to the ICU of the hospital on November 17.

A health bulletin by the hospital had said that Sadiq was suffering from colorectal cancer with metastasis with severe pneumonia, UTI and septic shock with acute kidney shutdown with paralytic ileus.

He was an eminent Islamic scholar, noted educationist, preacher and harbinger of communal unity and progressive thinking. This is a great loss to community, TIO reaches out in solidarity to the followers of the late cleric.
